[/li][li] 55 turns ago Thread returns. A single fall destroys Ista Island. The remaining 232 riders go out unprepared to fight it, but the casualties are high and only 102 return, defeated. Ista is deemed uninhabitable, and with no hopes of protecting the continent, it is decided that everyone moves to grub-protected Southern.
[/li][li] 53 turns ago The Northern Continent is entirely barren and thread-ridden. Holders have established new Holds on the Southern mainland. Castaway Weyr is established on an extinct volcanic island off the coast of Southern.
