• Anything extra: Fair haired, with an uncommonly pale complexion (believedly due to difficulty at birth), Keri is no taller then 4'8". It is not uncommon -or difficult- to mistake Keri for someone much younger then she is, although her light eyes -often narrowed in scepticism- and often down turned mouth, suggest more accurately her true age.

• Personality: Something of a sceptic due to her upbringing, Keri is both highly critical of herself and of others, yet at the same time - content with who she is. Having managed to put up with the taunts of others for turns -not least the taunts of her siblings and foster mother- Keri has established in her own mind what she is worth, and as a rule her confidence is rarely shaken.
  
  Often ill as a young child, and for a long time less strong then those her age, Keri has a tendency to keep her own council so to speak. She'll rarely seek out the company of another unless she needs them for something, and sometime in her teen years stopped craving human companionship too much. The mottled brown firelizard she impressed at the age of eight turns -who is rarely far from her side- often seems all the company she needs.

• History: Keri's life started on a bad note, there is no other way of saying it, her arrival into the word led directly to her mother's departure - and that led to the her and her four siblings being shipped off to live with her aunt and uncle. With five children of her own, her aunt didn't have much time or patience for her sister's five, especially not for the tiny sickly child that was her youngest niece. Her siblings and cousins weren't much fonder of her, the former blaming her for their mothers death, the latter blaming her for the added strain on their parent's attentions. It was a bit of a lonely childhood for the girl as such. Often too sick to play with the other children her own age, Keri spent much of her life on the sidelines as it were.
  
  Impressing Nalyn at the age of eight helped, but it wasn't until she discovered the presence of a woman living in the upper most rooms of the hold that Keri truly began to develop a sense of belonging at the hold. Going as high in the hold as she could, to escape the wrath of her siblings, Keri stumbled across the woman - a journeywoman starsmith called Janellah - and for whatever reason, the woman took her on as an unofficial apprentice. With someone paying attention to her, and something to keep her away from her siblings and cousins, Keri flourished. The four turns that followed saw her health improving (climbing 256 stairs a day will help with that), and while she became more then a little nocturnal and her social skills perhaps suffered a bit, Keri loved her new life.
  
  She liked it so much, that she almost declined search when it was offered, but Janellah talked her out of the decision - and in hindsight Keri is glad the woman knew her well enough to do so. The search also taught her one more thing, just as she was leaving the hold her youngest brother presented her with a carefully wrapped bundle - which upon arrival at the Weyr she found contained 10 eggs from his golds recently laid clutch. One of first things she did at the Weyr as such, was give them out.
