- Personality: Githala is a loving and caring individual. She really has to be because she deals with sick people. She doesn't tolerate idiots that can help their stupidity, and she has a dangerous soft-spot for dragonriders. This explains why she ended up in the weyr. She has a small bit of experience in tending to dragon wounds as well as her mass of human sickness knowledge. She just decided not to become a Master yet.
She is easily saddened though. When turned down by a person for a date, she is a bit of a flirt with riders, she cries. If a patient dies, she definitely cries. There are not a lot of things that set her off angry, except pure idiocy. She may get mad at a stubborn patient, but never to their face. - Family: None
- Pets: None
- History: Githala was orphaned at a young age. She was the only survivor of the feline attack, simply because they could not find the young girl in the caravan. Her whole family were Traders who unwittingly set up camp in a large feline territory. Githala was found by a dragonrider flying over on his way to the Healer Hall to pick up a Master. He saw the carnage and flew down to see if anyone survived, finding only the young two Turn old Githala. He took her to the Hall and they raised her. She became an apprentice at 10 Turns and walked the the Healer tables at 18 Turns. Remarkable that she was almost killed and now she can save lives. She wanted to repay the rider and all riders, so she requested to be sent to the Weyr. It was a few good Turns though before she was able to go to the Weyr. She arrived a few months before the fever started.
She gained much experience with human disease and sickness in those four Turns that she was placed at Holds in the South. For this knowledge she is grateful, because it will help her help the Weyr.
