- Defining characteristics: The way her face curves gives her an almost angular beauty. She has light brown hair with blond highlights, courtesy the sun. She has what some call an hourglass body, and rather long legs. She is incredibly fast, but not particularly strong. One would never find Aki wearing a dress; she’s simply not like that. In fact, the closest she’s ever gotten to a dress since she was four was a skirt and a shirt that looked rather nice on her. Even then she only wore the skirt for an hour before changing into pants.

- Personality: Akkika is not a girl one should ask for fashion advice. In fact, if one asked, she’d probably smile and say, “I dunno, why don’t you just wear what you want to?” She’s also not one to get into the girly clothes, or do girly things. The most girly thing she’s ever done was getting her monthly ‘thing’ that all girls get. Other than that, she’s a tomboy. She hates dresses, skirts, pink, light-girly colors, frilly things, and acting like a girl. One could always see her out with the boys, playing a rough game, and the other girls screeching whenever they got hurt. To the guys she never shows pain, as she doesn’t want them to think she’s getting soft on them. Only to her most trusted friends and some people in her family will she bring her most personal matters. She’s also extremely stubborn and loves to fight to get her way. She’s usually, but not always, the fastest person, whether it is boy or girl. She doesn’t like to gloat or boast, though on rare occasions one will see her do so. She will also never rat someone out (unless it’s for a good reason), and always keeps secrets. She’s not one for gossip or starting rumors. Aki is usually found to be a happy and very friendly girl. That’s just how she grew up, and if anyone is looking for a friend, Aki’s the one for them.

Personality: Lazy. That's it. - History:
Akkika was born, and her mother was overjoyed. Aki had been the seventh out of ten children born, and all of the children before her were boys. While hoping for a sweet, girly-girl daughter, her mother named her Akkika. But Aki, as her siblings and friends call her, was not to become what Cari, her mother, wanted. Growing up with six brothers contributed to her love of being a tomboy and hatred of all girly things.
At around age four, after learning at a very early age that her brothers would hurt her if she cried, Aki learned to shield her pain from the rest of her body. Her brothers were astounded the next time they picked on her and she did not cry. This was her first step toward becoming a tomboy. Before age four, she had always let her mother dress her up. She’d always worn pink, a color she learned to loath, and almost always had worn dresses. For her fifth birthday she had asked only for pants and boyish shirts. A little unhappily, her mother and father gave them to her.
Her sixth Turn of life came and passed. Two more siblings were added to the herd of children in the household. Ami and May, identical twins, were born the summer of Aki’s sixth birthday. Cari was overjoyed, two more girls! Unlike with her, her brothers paid no attention to the twins. Maybe it was because Aki smoked them whenever the children raced. Maybe it was because Aki never cried when she got hurt. Whatever the excuse, the boys managed to not even glance the twin’s way.
Ten turns of age and the girl had become on of the fastest of her age in the Hold. Also around that time G’tin, her oldest brother, Impressed to a Brown, and her second oldest brother, M’ten, Impressed a Blue. The first thing the girl thought of was, ‘Oh wow! A dragon! I want one!’ the only problem was: they weren’t Searching for girls (Or so she thought. In actuality, they were always Searching for girls, she just hadn't been Searched). So the poor girl had to wait, and wait, and wait. Three years went by, and Aki gave up on waiting. Two more of her brothers had Impressed: one to a green and another to a blue, and she still had nothing. But she was also underage, and she knew that. One could never stop wishing, though.
Nearly three more Turns of waiting and finally the day had come. She’d been racing with the boys of the Hold the day a bluerider came Searching. He wasn’t Searching for girls, just boys, but when he saw Aki race, he knew she was something special. Not only was she not scared to play around boys, but she was winning where the boys could not. Aki saw the man and his blue touch down by the finish line of the race. She gave him no heed; dragonriders usually came to watch the children race. But Aki knew something was wrong when he dismounted his dragon and the blue looked at her. It was unsettling, this draconic stare. Nothing had ever stared at her with as much interest and anticipation as that dragon had. Though she finished the race, she felt like falling on the ground, but she couldn’t.
The bluerider walked up to her as soon as she’d finished the race. “You’re fast.”
How simple a statement! She knew she was fast, but right now she didn’t think she could answer without messing up, so the girl just nodded.
“Has this place ever been Searched?” the bluerider asked.
Another simplicity to answer, but the girl could not get her throat to work right. Instead, she just nodded again.
“Have you ever been Searched?” the bluerider asked. Aki could tell this was what the Rider had been trying to ask. No, she hadn’t. She shook her head. The bluerider seemed to jump out of his skin as he asked, “would you like to be Searched?”
Would she ever! She nodded enthusiastically. She’d been waiting for this moment for nearly six years!
Barely noticing that her siblings were around her, congratulating her, and her mother was crying her eyes out, Aki climbed aboard the blue dragon. With one mighty leap, the blue was in the air. With another flap of his wings, he flew into a cloud and into the cold dark of between. The cold gripped Aki like a small girl gripped her favorite doll. The girl was not scared, though, only impressed and excited that she’d finally been Searched.
The dragon came out of the cold above the Weyr. Aki gasped in surprise as a small green and her rider whisked past the trio as they descended to the ground. After helping the girl down from the dragon, the bluerider asked how she was.
Finally speaking, Aki managed to say, “Just great!” She turned around fast, trying unsuccessfully to take everything in.
The bluerider chuckled, “You’ll be able to see it all later. Now I’ve got to show you the candidate quarters.”
“I’m a candidate?” Aki asked, knowing the answer, but still not ready to accept the fact that she was actually going to try for a dragon.
The bluerider grinned, “Of course, though there won’t be a queen egg in a Clutch soon.”
Aki just shrugged, “I’ll be happy with any color!” She glanced around. “But right now, I’m really hungry.”
Both rider and dragon laughed, and then the man said, “The kitchens are this way. Let’s get something to eat, and I’ll show you the candidate barracks later.”
A couple days later, Akkika Impressed to a Brown. I am Upendith, and you will need to feed me now.

Name theme: Upendi means love in some African language.
Appearance: Rich, earthy brown, like rain-soaked earth. The very tips of his tail and wingsails are slightly greenish.
Personality: Like little Terra, the larger brown is lazy. He does excercize daily, but when not doing something productive, he lounges. He has a very nice mind-voice, and when speaking to anyone else he sound like a male version of Akkika's voice.

Just two things I'd like to point out, though, before accepting... 
There's no problems with them impressing to colours other than gold - in fact, about 50% of the none-bronze riders are female. 
At first he's a bronze, and then blue!
