Hi! I'd just like to clear two things up before approving her... is she a Healer, or a Herder (animal) healer? Both are feasible. And, being 17, I'd assume she's a journeyman? Though really she wouldn't be a master at that age... Oh, and one more thing... green firelizards can only be impressed, not created. There's a hatching currently going on though, so please feel free to join in there with her and try your luck!

The reason I'm not allowing characters to start with green firelizards is because I don't want to be flooded with them. I've decided that green firelizards will be able to have clutches, which makes some people want to 'collect' them. You can have green firelizards, but only if you impress them through RP. I'm sorry, but if I made an exception for you, then I'd have to make an exception for everyone - in which case it'd be pointless to have the rule.
Might I make a suggestion about the healing part? Pern's Healers deal pretty much exclusively with humans (with the exception of dragonhealers). The Herders deal with animals for medical purposes - perhaps you would rather she was a beasthealer? I'm just not sure that having a Healer who works with animals is exactly canon, since there's a lot of people out there who need healing.

The reply button is back! <3
I simply think of Moreta, who started out with animals but moved to dragons and helped a lot of people too. Tirasha is cool like her. xP People aren't all that different from animals... we just think we are. If you know how to treat a horse with a hurt leg, you can probably do a person too- although a person trained for working for people would be better, if you can help one thing you pretty-much have the basics for most things. Tirasha is not a beast healer or herder or anything... but she can work with them. Anyways, Tirasha has been taught to heal people... apparently didn't really get it across with her crappy Pernese history *needs to better it* but it's what she does. On Silvath too, and everywhere she goes. (Almost, at least. >.>) She just started out with herdbeasts, which is a good way to start in my opinion.
But she will bide unless something happens to that no green flitter starters rule... *huggles Tianthe* Sparrow likes being overrun with greens. They are the funnest. ;D Tirasha is my bestest charrie ever though... it's weird to not be using her. O.o

If her history/bio was still there, I'd be able to read and possibly reconsider, however it seems you've deleted all of your previous posts.
The rule about no green or gold firelizards for starting characters is going to remain. I will not change it for one person, as it is there for a reason, which is to stop my game becoming flooded with firelizards.

Ah, Sparrow made her a better profile for a different site when I decided I wanted her to be a HAD and those deserve good profiles... so you can read her history. But I still won't use her since she just doesn't work without Tianthe... I know that if I tried changing Tianthe's color or just deleting her totally, I'd mess up and write her into my posts anyways. The PersonName: Tirasha (although as a nickname, a few people call her Rasha) Age: 19 Gender:Female Sexuality: Heterosexual (but bordering on asexual) Rank: Journeyman Healer
About the PersonPhysical appearance: An overall short and very thin person, Tirasha barely crests 5 feet and looks even smaller because of her bony build. With practically no bosom to speak of and her thin legs, she does not have the sensuous build that some people seem to like. A lot of people, in fact, seem to describe her as having a ‘half-starved’ appearance; everything about Tirasha is just gaunt and fragile looking. Despite her appearance, she is a strong person (although some say it is only through willpower, not muscle) with lean muscles stretched tightly over her bones. Usually Tirasha wears a tight-fitting wherhide vest with a sleeveless white undershirt beneath. Thin but strong black threads hold the vest close, there are two strands that are tied in a zigzag pattern down the front of her vest. It takes a while for her to get that on and off, but it is very rare to actually see her with the vest off. A flowing blue skirt usually covers the lower half of her torso, with patches here and there of a variety of colors and patterns. Not a particularly acute sewer, Tirasha usually just tries to hold on to whatever clothes she can as long as possible and fix them up every once in a while rather than try to make new ones or save up the money for fabric or clothing. ((Maybe that should go in personality… but I like it there. xP)) A slender neck, probably one of Tirasha’s more attractive features, leads to her head. This, like the rest of her, is small and it looks like the skin has just been stretched over her skull with practically nothing in between. The ridge of her cheekbone is high, giving a stern appearance to her expression that her eyes often seem to counter. Tirasha’s eyes are a radiant shade of emerald green and always reflect whatever she happens to be feeling at the moment. Lined with thick dark-red lashes, they also seem abnormally large in comparison to the rest of her. Easily intrigued by anything, Tirasha’s eyes are also usually opened wide and thus seem even larger. Her nose, on the other hand, is small and spattered with reddish freckles that usually seem to blend in with her tan skin but if you look close enough you can see them. Her lips are thin and usually have a pinkish-red tinge around their edges from Tirasha’s habit of licking them. Tirasha’s hair is a soft orangey-red color, thick and slightly wavy. Usually she keeps her hair in a loose braid; even then it reaches just past mid-way down her back. Her hair is Tirasha’s favorite trait about herself; she brushes it obsessively every morning and evening and always does her best to keep it clean and pretty. Personality: For the most part, Tirasha is a cheerful, go-lucky sort of person. She is used to just taking life as it is thrown at her and rarely tries to ‘fight fate’. If Pernese people knew about Hakuna Matata that would probably be her motto. Things from yesterday are things from yesterday and do not need to be mused over for the rest of your life. Reflective of her live-in-the-present personality, it is hard to embarrass Tirasha. Also reminiscent of that, Tirasha can be painfully forwards at times. She has lots of opinions on everything and does not worry too much about stating them. Leaning towards the vain side, a lot of Tirasha’s opinions on things end up being bad. It is easy to temporarily fascinate her, but after having a little time to consider she will have lots of thoughts to state on whatever the once-fascinating thing was, and they will probably be degrading. Despite all that, Tirasha is a very loyal person. Whatever she is doing she will usually finish, whoever she is friends with has automatically fallen under her protection. Very few things could be used to persuade her to turn on anyone she likes. Of course, being friends with her does not mean that her opinions of you will be any better, but she might be a little more likely to hold them back. Last… she really likes singing.

Pets: Mineral Flitt Willow Appearance: One of the larger flitts, Willow has a dark orangey color to his hide. Over his shoulders and at the base of his tail and neck is a small spattering of lighter color, almost as though someone took a brush with yellow paint on it and shook it wildly in his proximity. Personality: Willow is very loyal and undyingly obedient towards Tirasha. Rarely far from her, he usually perches on her shoulder with his tail curled around her neck. He takes an occasional chance in Sunshine chases, but is usually more interested in getting his fill of food for the day and then just remaining near Tirasha and doing whatever it is she comes up with for him to do. Grass Flitt Tianthe Appearance: A small, medium-green flitt, Tianthe is basically all of one color. Her wing membranes are slightly lighter a shade of green than her body and that shows up more obviously while she is flying and the light shines through the thin flaps of skin. Personality: Tianthe always seems to have a bit too much energy. It is rare to see her perched anywhere, when she does land it is usually atop Tirasha’s head from where she can take off again easily. She is also constantly ambushing Willow, as it drives her crazy how he seems so content with sitting still and has to do her best to get the Mineral to play with her. Also, Tianthe is very vain and so the best way that Willow can ever come up with to get her to leave him alone is to point out some flaw in her complexion, which she will then spend long amounts of time worrying over- until, of course, she completely forgets about the problem and becomes coming up with new plots to get Willow to play with her.
History: Tirasha was born on a small farm on the outskirts of Naroon hold. Her parents raised runnerbeasts, and had a lot of children to, as they often said, ‘help out with all the work’. A product of an affair between her mother and a holder whose name her mother never revealed to Tirasha, she had always been the misfit among her older siblings growing up. The oldest of them would usually pick on her; she was the ‘tiny and different’ one. All of the children took very much after their father, and Tirasha was no different except that she had a different father. Although her mother would have loved to keep the secret, it was a hard one because of how obvious it was. While living with her family, Tirasha was overall very silent and did her best to keep out of the way for she sensed that everyone had some sort of anger towards her. Her parental father was mostly just disappointed in his wife, his wife seemed to almost hate Tirasha for simply existing, and she was the one that all her older siblings picked on because she seemed so different from everyone else in the family. Everyone in it had dark hair and eyes, a tall strong build. When Tirasha was six, Ria seemed to finally give up on the girl. She was little help anywhere and seemed to bring nothing but gossip and shame to the family. So she sent her child away to live with her aunt, a practiced but overall very solitary healer. Tirasha immediately fell in love with her aunt, Resta. The woman had never had a child before, or even a husband, and cared for the little girl as though she were her own daughter. Through careful nurturing, Resta put to rest the nervous personality Tirasha had first developed and taught her to be an outgoing person who didn’t falter before the dislike of others. Despite all her aunt’s work, Tirasha never seemed to get any talent for cooking or sewing, usually useful for a woman. But oddly, even at her young age, Tirasha seemed to immediately take to the healing arts that Resta was most experienced with. And so her aunt finally gave up on trying to get Tirasha to do something she obviously had little interest or aptitude in and instead began training her in healing. Resta lived within Baltabee Seahold and there were always plenty of sailors there who would come in with injuries to treat, so Tirasha started out learning mostly with people. There were still those with canines, felines and a variety of other beasts that needed tending to also, so once people trusted their animals in the hands of the little girl she helped her aunt with that too. When she was nine Tirasha had taken herself out for a picnic in a secluded beach she had discovered shortly after moving around with her aunt and ended up finding herself present at the hatching of a clutch of fire lizards. Shocked by her luck, she quickly ducked in and grabbed a couple before anything else could get to them and fed them all that they could eat of her lunch. One was a large bronze, which she named Willow, the other a lithe green who was later named Tianthe. Once Resta found out, her aunt was very relieved. Tirasha had always been begging for a flitt but that had been something the woman had never felt particularly inclined to provide.
By fourteen Tirasha had become surprisingly practiced at the art of healing. The talent seemed to come almost naturally to her. Resta loved the child, but knew that she would be best off learning from more experienced people and with a wider range of creatures. When a Search dragon arrived at Baltabee hold in search of Candidates, Resta brought about Tirasha’s also being brought to the Weyr to learn from the healers there and, best of all, learn to work with dragons. Tirasha had always been fascinated by dragons, although never felt that she was exactly rider quality. But in being able to help them with their injuries she could easily sate the want to be around them. Threadscores happened too often, and Tirasha could go the rest of her life saving dragons from them. It was almost like a dream come true. The Weyr brought a new intrigue. Tirasha could hear all the dragons. As far as she knew, that wasn’t exactly how it was supposed to be. Riders were supposed to talk to their dragons, not herself… Despite her wondering about how she could hear them, Tirasha enjoyed this and carefully kept it secret from others. The dragons were cooperative and kept it secret too. For the next five years Tirasha was trained in tending to dragon wounds along with those of people. Her ability to hear the dragons came in handy when working with a bad injury, as they could tell her where, when, and how badly anything hurt and could often give pointers if they had been through it all before. She has not built many of firm relationships with anyone in the Weyr during that time though, and although she can remember the names of most of the people at the Weyr and recognize their face, none could she really refer to as friends.
And I still can't agree that not letting people start with Greens is going to stop any floods of fire-lizards, as we can still start with other colors; the only real difference it seems to make those who don't start with flitts have a really hard time getting them. :/ What is there, like one adult female flitt right now? I think it would be easier to simply put a limit on Green clutching sizes and maybe people could come up with ways to get rid of eggs other than open hatchings so you don't end up with too many. *shrugs* There are a lot of alternatives that would still allow people having Greens from the start...
