Nayza
Standing at a respectable height of 5'6" Nayza is neither too tall nor too small for a female of her age. In fact, her height is a bit above the average one for females close to her time group. Her hair is an ash colored shade - some times holding some brown or light gray highlights - depending on how what position the sun shines on it and the time of day. A bit spiky at the ends it's still fairly easy to keep and sleek enough - though not as straight as a piece of paper.Bangs stop just above her eyes, while the rest of her hair barely reaches her shoulders. Often two strands of hair seem ti spike up at the back of her head, refusing to ever be tamed no matter how much Nayza tries.
Her skin is fairly pale, though not as white as a ghost for is still retains a faint peach shade through it. If exposed to the sun she's prone to turning a bit more reddish - for her skin never seems to want a tan. Nayza's eyes are a strange combination of a reddish amber/brown color - sometimes appearing to be red at first glance.
Slim an around 120 pounds Nayza holds a healthy weight for her age and height - and the female tends to exercise a lot. Growing up in a Hold where runners, herdbeasts and wherries were raised along with farming this girl knows her fair share of knowledge when it comes to animals and how to care for them. Her favorite seem the be the runners, though - and she despises wherries the most after an incident she suffered a few turns ago. A scar, diagonally shaped, can be found in her upper back, close to her left shoulder, from a wherry attacking her one day from behind. An active lass, Nayza tries to keep in shape often, and had to so she could keep up with the runners. She still likes to go for morning runs and is quite agile in her feet. Though she can ride a runner she still lacks experience.
Personality
Active & stubborn.
Nayza was the kind of child that couldn't stay seated in one place for too long. When small she was always found in the kitchens, helping around, and was later taken by her father and the other men to tend the animals. Since small she showed a love for anything living, and working with the runners became her favorite chore. Though stubborn and often known to skip her glow duty Nayza is still quite a responsible and caring girl. She isn't afraid to give a helping hand in anything, and has helped runners birth their foals in her past. She isn't easily disgusted by many things like most girls, and isn't scare to play a little rough with the boys - no matter what others may think or say.
She does have a rather fiery and spunky personality, and rarely backs down from a challenge, race or dare. This often got her in trouble when the males teased her to do something or snatch a certain item from the kitchens. Though she managed to succeed in their imposed tasks most of the times, every now and then she was caught and punished. Due to her raising and certain likes Nayza has never been one to hang around other females, and can be considered sort of a tomboy by some. Fear not, she's heterosexual and likes boys - only she gets along better with them than the prissy and snobby girls.
Her favorite colors are earth ones, white/silver and the occasional red/gold combination.
History
Born into a family which had no other offspring Nayza quickly obtained the label of an only child. After having difficulties from her pregnancy, Nayza's mom was operated and unable to bear any more children after her. Though her father always wanted a boy he still loved his daughter - and later was more than thrilled to have her around the farm and runners helping him and the others to care for things. Though loved she was never spoiled, even though she did manage to keep an open relationship with both parents. Her mother, however, succumbed to fever when she was eight turns old, leaving her father to care for her.
At the age of eleven turns she had been helping her father with the wherries, and wandered too close to a mother and her newly hatched chicks. Nayza didn't noticed, though, and when she turned her back to the bird the creature attacked, pecking at her and managing to score a deep wound on her back, close to her left shoulder. The wound was treated and stitched, and though nothing fatal, the wound never fully healed well - and thus a scar was left in its place. She grew up first in the kitchens, learning to cook the basic things and how to prepare them, before moving on to farming and herding. She became familiar with the animals and was even able to calm the most agitated stallion as turns passed.
When she reached the age of twelve turns she was searched for a Hatching , but failed to impress. Returning back to the Hold she then came across a GreenRider, his dragon saying the girl looked suitable to be a Candidate. Thus was brought back to Castaway Weyr. Now she's hoping this clutch won't be the same as her last experience, and that maybe this time she will be able to impress a lifemate. Meanwhile she does her chores around the Weyr, and isn't picky about lending a hand in the kitchens or out with the runners, heardbeasts or wherries.
